a summary of movies i watched this september.  nothing new here, these are watched via netflix :) which is the best thing that ever happened in any person's movie watching experience.  and for the price of 1 movie ticket here, we get access to a wide selection of dvd's, tv shows, and live streaming :)

GOOD WILL HUNTING - one of my all time favorites!

AVATAR - pretty good movie, considering i hate scifi flicks

FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL - very light movie, sarah marshall is pretty

CLASH OF THE TITANS - i completely forgot what happened in this movie

2012 - feel asleep while watching this one hehe

FELON - antanda na ni val kilmer :( (tear lol!)

THE KILLERS - cute but forgettable

RESIDENT EVIL: THE EXTINCTION - i love resident evil movies

THE PROPOSAL - reminds me of while you were sleeping (no family blah blah) i like it but not as much as i LOVE while you were sleeping

PRINCE OF PERSIA: SANDS OF TIME - realized i'm not a jake gyllenhal fan, engaging but not life changing

TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE - eric bana's butt made several appearances, as always rachel mcadams is GORGEOUS!

THE UGLY TRUTH - baduy predicatable ending but funny funny :)

BLACK HAWK DOWN- gwaping overload

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN - i kept watching to find out what will happen next and then it just ended out without me knowing what happened.  hehe.  maybe i'm not equipped at the moment for "critically acclaimed" films.

 

already watched a lot of movies this month and those will go on next month's post :)  thank you netflix!

i think POTPOT'S true love is the RONALD MCDONALD at Barstow station, but dream guy is different from who she might end up with :)

weekends are the best! bored, we went to morongo casino to eat at the buffet :)  no luck trying to gamble when you have a minor with you, and we're not into gambling, we went there for the food :)here's the look on fayie's face when we got in...she wanted to play!!!! and got sad when we told her she can't.  we took her to the arcade, but she said wanted the games outside haha, you can't fake a 3-year old.  we just downloaded a free iphone slot machine app (it's true that there is indeed, an app for everything!)

after eating we went shopping at the cabazon outlets. bought 2 dresses for the princess and a wooden puzzle (her favorite past time) :)  a lot of walking in the middle of the desert, they seriously need air conditioning there and/or water fountains :( fayie kept on drinking but walked with us (no stroller) like a grown woman hahaha

on the way home, of course tigger should be buckled up for safety! (it's a fayie thing)
FAMILY PICTURE!!! tatay the driver, nanay the camera addict, and fayie the knocked out kiddo.  the drive home took about 50 minutes thanks to hubby's presence i won't have to be in the driver's seat anymore :)

i love you sabado, as the song goes, and whoever wrote that song i can totally see where he's coming from :)

haha natatawa ako sa dalawang ito..kung maghagikhikan parang wala ng bukas!

sarap talaga kapag weekends,from sunup to sundown,nandyan si fayie.In a few weeks,3 years old na sya,can i say that the "terrible two" character is a mythical creature?if anything,fayie just keeps raising the bar when i think she can't be any more good for her age,she'll get better.

Right now being with faye is super fun and rewarding!she welcomes me when i get home from work, she gives my mom her medication,putting the tablets one by one in my mom's mouth and handing her drink :) being shadowlike and following me everywhere i go,she turns on the light and closes the door whenever we get in a room.

I remember those days when i cry a lot because of the pains of pregnancy and labor.then the unprecedented lack of sleep that i got when she's baby while working during the day.all that.very distant memories :)

It's the time when i know who i am and what my role is to this person.maybe procreation is instinctive so people would continue to do it inspite of "painful" possible effects.

'cause if the whole process is so easy then population explosion would be a understatement.we are trained to be parents to children who need us,they can't survive the initial stages of their lives without somebody taking care of them.as my undying mantra goes:"nothing worthwhile is ever that simple" 'cause the person who steps up to the challenge reaches the farthest.

And now,as i sometimes see fayie taking care of ME in her own,very innocent way,i look at it as god's way of patting me at the back :)

- raket idea: a hospital for the brokenhearted. ayus ba?

- overslept this morning and came to work 40 minutes late. i feel recharged and 100% guiltless

- got a new bottle of perfume. it smells intoxicating in a flowerish, fruit saladish kind of way. ralph lauren, you're my bestfriend til i get sick of sniffing myself :D

- SHIFT HAPPENS!

- once you found perfection, you stop looking.

- are you more eeyorish? :( or more tiggerish? :)

- napakarami pang mas masaklap na bagay kaysa sa pigiging mag-isa, tulad ng pagkakaron ng walang kwentang kasama.

- toilet paper has to roll from the top, otherwise is just wrong.

- been in love with jay for 86 months now. woohoo!!! (wiping sweat off my forehead)

- just booked our airline tickets, step 2 would be robbing a bank to make this work.

- was surprised to find a lot of north face and nike in her closet. too much sportwear for a girl that plays no sport. what a con! haha!

- rainy days and mondays always get me down (and singing ala-karen carpenter)

- did serious semi-homemade cooking: cherry chip cupcakes, garlic breadsticks and sausage calzone. i'm not a good cook but it wouldn't hurt to keep on practicing.

- i'm in love...with my hair straightening iron!

6 more weeks and i'll be FLYING!!!! i'm super psyched!!! looking forward to the future perfect progressive side of things

i'm one of the most untalented persons in this world. Can't sing. Can't dance. Can't cook. Is not good on any sport. I watch a lot of sports on tv and i can't help being fascinated by the players and how they perform above and beyond human potential. before their moments of glory were the time spent on practice, training and discipline that can cost them their happiness too.

which means to say that all of us has the ability to be who we want to be as long as we work hard for it. I sometimes think that striving for things we don't have is a formula for disappointing ourselves for what we do have. We spend so much of our energy aiming for something that we lose sight of what's within reach.

contentment, i wish i know the secret in having and keeping it, so i can spread it around. the world will go on whether we fail or not. So maybe it's not really about what we have, or what we don't have, but also if god will give the chance to spend more time earth, and it's up to us really on how to cherish -or vanish- these gifts.

no one's exactly like us. So there's no point redefining our lives based on other people's standards. There are no losers, just those who act like one.

We can't get everything. But here's an easy one, Be Happy, even just for today. Let tomorrow be another page on the gospel of your life.
